Abstract

A study was conducted to evaluate the haematological and serum biochemical indices of broiler starter fed grade levels of pride of Barbados seed meal. Seventy-two (72) day old broiler starter were randomly assigned into four treatments. Each treatment was replicated in a completely randomized design. Four diets were formulated containing roasted pride of barbados seed meal at 0, 5, 10, and 15% respectively. Blood samples were collected from two birds per replicate for haematological and serum study. Results showed significant (P<0.05) differences for haematological and serum indices.
