The chemical composition, forage height and dry matter yield was determined for wet forages in Kwami LGA grazing area of Gombe state for four month. July to October 2013. The month of July shows that Vigna unguiculata was the highest in the first observation, with a bulk forage height and dry matter yield of 4.73 inches and 20.42 kg/a 102 while the lowest was in Digitaria debilis 1.97 inches and 8.51 kg/a 10. This trend continues up to the fourth week where the forage height and the dry matter yield were 10.39 inches; 44.87 kg/a 10 and 4.33 inches; 18.77 kg/a 10 respectively. Generally the forages dry matter content, crude protein, .ether extract, crude fibre, acid detergent fibre, neutral detergent fibre and the Arsh content were significantly different (P<0.05)2003).
